A Pianist and Music Educator
Gloria Chuang, an accomplished pianist, won the National Young Keyboard Artist Competition of Taiwan at 11 and holds degrees from Juilliard and the University of Michigan. As a soloist and collaborative pianist, she has premiered notable works, emphasizing music education's accessibility. Her scholarly research and lecture recitals on “Mozart in Paris” received high acclaims at Piano Arts international competitions and the national and state conventions for music teachers. Her performance on “ Double Clusters” by Matthew H. Fields with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc garnered a Grammy Nomination on Judith Sherman’s production of the recording. She also premiers piano pieces by Matt in solo and chamber music and whatever she can get her hands on and recreated what was in the composer’s intellectual fascinations into a myriad of sound colors on the piano.
