Robert Muczynski (1929-2010) was born in Chicago, IL and died in Tucson, AZ. He attended DePaul University and studied composition with Alexander Tcherepnin. At age 29, he gave his Carnegie Hall performance performing his piano compositions. He remained to be prolific composer and was a fantastic pianist himself. This trio was composed in 1966 and performed by the cellist shown here and the composer in Arizona. As a faculty member, we felt it's time to also premier his piece at Rocky Ridge Music Center since Jim knew him while he was on faculty in CO.
